A workshop was held under the topic: "University and Educational Adaptation of Industry 4.0" on 9 May 2018 at Sakarya University Engineering Faculty.

The industrial revolution has passed through three major stages with the use of steam-powered mechanical systems, electrical systems and robotic automation systems in the industry. The Industry 4.0 era has begun with the integration of rapidly developing information and communication technologies into the industry. Nowadays, topics such as Industry 4.0 and intelligent robots, big data, internet of things, 3D printing, cloud-computing and cyber security have been discussed both globally and locally in our country. With Industry 4.0, the goal is to bring together "Information Technology" and "Industry" to create more value-added organizations that are more human-focused, faster, and at the highest quality, with more use of information technologies. If universities are thought to be organizations that carry out various sub-operations, integrating Industry 4.0 into universities has become inevitable in order to be competitive globally. In this context, it is aimed to make all the separate operations, including education in universities, interact with each other and transform towards digital universities by using new generation information applications.
